Question from Sofia in Bulgaria!!

Samuel from Sofia, Bulgaria asked:
“I live in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria(a slavic country in the Balkans). Pardon me for any mistakes at all because I’m still 14 years old. My father is a jew from Saint-Petersburg,Russia.And my mother is Bulgarian. I’m very active in our community dispite of the fact I’m not fully jewish.I even study yiddish a language spoken by my ancestors. Is it too soon for me to convert into judaism ,and is it too late to become a rabbi?”

Rabbi Freeman answered:
“Hi Samuel. It is not too early to start studying for conversion to Judaism, and it is not too late to become a rabbi. According to legend, Rabbi Akiva was in his 40s when he started his studies to become a Rabbi. If you have your parents’ permission, start your formal studies of Judaism as soon as possible.

Good luck to you.

Rabbi Judy Freeman “

Entering into the medical community as a shicksa!

If you are the type of person that enjoys working with people, helping others and wants competitive salaries then you might be just right for a job in the medical field. The medical field is always changing and also offers new experiences and opportunities to gain new knowledge. In the medical field, there is never a dull moment and always something to learn. So if you are up for the challenge, you will be glad to know that there are many medical job openings waiting for you.

Many of the medical job openings come from the clinical positions. This part of the medical field is related to patient treatment in specialized areas. The reason there are typically more openings of this kind is because they require more certifications, schooling and qualifications than other medical positions so these areas are always going to be less staffed with the lack of qualified applicants. These positions are those of the nurse, doctor or therapist who are all directly responsible for patient care and treatment. They require 2 to 6 years of schooling to obtain degrees for these positions.

Right now is actually the perfect time to go through your schooling and find a nice little place in one of these patient care positions because there is an increased need for people in these positions beyond the normal demand that comes with them. This increase in demand comes from a shortage in nurses being seen all around the country today. The growth rate of these positions is expected to increase very rapidly until the year 2016 which gives you plenty of time to finish your schooling and secure your place in the medical field.
If you prefer not to work so closely with patients or you just want to save a little time and money on schooling, then medical jobs that are not directly patient involved like the medical biller, transcriber, encoder and secretary would be good for you. These jobs are also available and waiting. Although, there are less of these types of positions available because there are less requirements for someone to work in one of these areas.
You can find your perfect medical job in many places including online or on the new groupon clone theme, through networking and job boards in the medical profession. The medical jobs are waiting for you, be sure to have your resume ready and start looking right away to find the best medical jobs possible.
